Healthy Chocolate Milkshake....No, Really!

There really is no better way to wake up than an early morning run and a chocolate milkshake. amiright?


I know exactly what you're thinking. There is no way that a chocolate milkshake can be both healthy and delicious. 

Well, I'm sorry, but you are soooo wrong =] Chocolate has always been my biggest guilty pleasure food. There's just nothing like the feeling you get after a bit of this sweet treat. I think that this milkshake tastes so much better than one you can get at any ice cream shop and, not only that, its good for you and you can make it at home! 


This frothy and rich beverage takes seconds to whip up and only has 130-140 calories per shake! What could be better?

Healthy Chocolate Milkshake

1 large frozen banana (The riper the better)
2/3 cup almond milk
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 Tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder

Place all of the ingredients in a blender like so:


Blend until smooth. 


The creamy consistency and slight fruitiness from the banana really make this the perfect treat anytime. Its even acceptable for breakfast! Top with shredded coconut, blueberries, or more chocolate!
